There are many rewarding ways that volunteers can contribute to Riverview Center. We understand how valuable the donation of time and skills can be, so we do our best to match volunteers to tasks where they feel comfortable and supported. We accept volunteer applications year-round and would love to have you as part of the team.
Rewarding Ways to Volunteer
Riverview Center is a non-profit organization that appreciates the generous and vital support of volunteers. Volunteers assist in the daily operations of the agency and provide valuable support that helps staff meet the needs of survivors. Volunteers with Riverview Center receive training through the Coalition Against Sexual Assault in Iowa or Illinois to gain the education necessary to join us in our work.
24-Hour Hotline
Our 24-hour hotlines in Illinois and Iowa are crucial to supporting survivors outside of business hours. We understand that life doesn’t always happen between 9 and 5, and that emergencies arise when we least expect them. Trained volunteers in Illinois are available after hours to answer our crisis hotlines and respond to survivors’ needs.
Medical Advocacy
Volunteers in both Illinois and Iowa are trained to respond to area hospitals to provide support and resources to survivors of sexual trauma.
Event and Fundraiser
Riverview Center events and fundraisers help us spread the word about our services. For these events to run smoothly, we rely on the help of volunteers during setup, throughout the event, and for teardown.

Office Volunteers
Volunteers who enjoy working in an office setting may find a spot in one of our locations. While volunteers will not work directly with clients, each office could use help filing, organizing, shredding, and other tasks necessary to the organization.
